Let me tell you about the first wedding I did as a photographer. I was invited to second shoot at this wedding for Rachel Householder Photography, and I could not have been more excited. I had done weddings previously as a videographer, but I had not yet had the chance to focus solely on portraits. September 28th, 2024. GodSpeed Events & Lodging. The forecast? Rain, rain, and more rain. Now, most photographers hear "rain" and start sweating bullets, it's me, I'm most photographers. But Rachel didn't seem worried in the slightest. In fact, it made me feel a lot more confident in how the day was going to go.

The ceremony was intimate, raw, and real: exactly what I would envision for my own special day. We managed to capture portraits of the couple between downpours, and let me tell you – rain-kissed foliage with that burnt orange and blue color palette? DREAMY.

Sometimes the most beautiful stories unfold on the most perfectly, imperfect days. Emily and Ramie, y'all crushed it – rain and all.
